Sobre mí

Meditation has been part of my life since 2002, when I joined the Triratna Buddhist Community in London. I was a mother of triplets returning to work, when I decided to train as a counselling therapist, subsequently completing the Breathworks Mindfulness-Based Teacher Training with Vidyamala, Gary and Sona between 2010-2013.

I moved to Brazil and was able to complete a Masters of Research studying mindfulness in primary health professionals. Where I also instructed mindfulness and assisted many of those who were interested in starting their training with Breathworks.

I then moved to Wales and completed a PhD analysing mindfulness, self-compassion and burnout in nursing and social work students. During that time, I also had the opportunity to refresh the Breathworks training for Health and Stress and undertake other mindfulness and compassion-based courses; such as Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (for adults and teens), Mindfulness-Based Self-Compassion and Compassionate Mind Training. I also became part of the Awakened Heart Sangha and was ordained in 2018 by Lama Shenpen Hookham; taking refuge and BodhisattvaVows.

My journey includes daily meditation, mindfulness and compassion practices, which are very much linked to studying Secular and Tibetan Buddhism;  researching these subjects on the ongoing basis. My aim is to continue learning and contribute towards people of different backgrounds, wellbeing and freedom of suffering.
